About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform coding audits on professional fee medical records
- Translate audit findings and trends into education and actionable feedback
- Provide one-on-one coaching to internal coders and auditors
- Support peer review, audit-the-auditor and calibration activities
Requirements
- Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CPMA, CCS-P or COC)
- 3-5 years professional fee coding and medical record auditing
- Advanced ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifier and E/M knowledge
- Strong knowledge of CMS requirements and NCCI edits
- Experience with EHR systems and HIPAA-compliant file transfer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience across multiple medical specialties
