Description
Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on matters related to the MENA region, including compliance, regulatory issues, and local business practices.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts with a focus on software licenses, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Intellectual Property: Advise on intellectual property issues, including patent, copyright, and trademark matters.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in governance activities and corporate filings in the MENA region.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage legal risks across various functional areas and geographies, particularly in the MENA region.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company is compliant with local laws and regulations in the MENA region, including data protection, consumer rights, and employment laws.
- Team Collaboration: Provide guidance to legal staff on matters related to the MENA region and oversee external counsel relationships in the region.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate cross-functionally with different departments to address their legal needs and concerns.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- 7-9 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on the MENA region
