Senior Counsel, Export Compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key advisor on export control regulations with a focus on emerging automotive technologies
• Navigate U.S. export control regulations including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and BIS requirements
• Manage the development and operation of the company's export control program
• Support classification, licensing, recordkeeping, and end-use/end-user diligence
• Partner with engineering teams and business stakeholders to provide actionable guidance
• Conduct audits and training activities

Requirements

• Deep expertise in U.S. export controls applicable to software, encryption, and technology classification
• Experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance for engineering and executive stakeholders
• Experience in the automotive or high-tech sector preferred
