Senior Customer Engineer, UAE

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery and map customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures
• Define and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) plans and technical evaluations
• Oversee technical onboarding and implementation, serving as the primary engineering contact
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and account growth
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle
• Leverage AI agents and LLMs to automate routine tasks and workflows
• Design and govern technical resources and best practices

Requirements

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering or Technical Account Management
• Ability to design and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment
• Deep technical knowledge in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals (BGP, DNS, TCP/UDP), Security (WAF, Zero Trust), Performance (caching, latency), AI proficiency, Coding (Python, JavaScript, Go), or Developer Platforms (APIs, Terraform)
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical enablement such as workshops or documentation
• Knowledge of LLM orchestration and RAG architectures
• Understanding of regulatory requirements like PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2
• Background in hyperscalers or digital native environments
