Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own data pipelines end to end including ingestion, transformation (dbt), warehousing (BigQuery), and delivery into BI (Omni)
• Audit and map existing data systems to consolidate the stack toward a single source of truth
• Build and maintain dbt models with tests, documentation, and clear contracts
• Establish data quality, observability, and reliability practices
• Own product analytics, including instrumentation, event tracking, and usage metrics
• Partner with GTM operations to ensure data foundations for AI automation
• Support research for external reports by sourcing and validating data
• Lay the groundwork for high-volume and streaming ingestion like OpenTelemetry

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building production pipelines
• Proficiency with dbt, BigQuery (or equivalent), and ETL/ELT tooling
• Strong SQL and proficiency in Python
• Solid data modeling judgment with a focus on quality and reliability
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with non-engineering stakeholders
• Fluent, critical use of AI in day-to-day engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume/streaming systems like ClickHouse or OpenTelemetry
• Experience with CDP/ETL tools like Segment or Hevo
• Previous experience at a startup
