About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert opinions on the clinical value of drugs and how payers will manage them
- Conduct drug information and payer research for client new business assets
- Prepare presentations and summaries on commercial viability and payer coverage practices
- Plan and facilitate payer advisory boards and review client value proposition presentations
- Manage clinical team members and freelance consultants
Requirements
- PharmD or equivalent advanced pharmacy degree
- At least 10 years in managerial drug information role with a payer (health plan or PBM)
- Knowledge of Commercial and Medicare payer regulatory landscape
- Experience with formulary, coverage criteria, benefit design and P&T committees
- Experience managing individuals and teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Medicaid experience
- Experience facilitating payer advisory boards
