Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
• Own the design and delivery of SMART on FHIR applications embedded within EMR workflows
• Champion AI-driven development and set standards for agent-assisted engineering
• Partner with data engineering on Python, dbt, and SQL pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and prioritize initiatives
• Drive implementation of best practices including version control, code reviews, and testing
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a senior frontend or full-stack engineering role
• Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience building SMART on FHIR applications
• Fluency with AI coding agents and AI-powered product development
• Experience managing and leading a team of engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with PII/PHI/HIPAA data
• Full-stack familiarity with Python, SQL, and dbt
• Familiarity with HL7 v2 messaging and healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience with CDS Hooks
