Senior Executive Officer, DIFC

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Bank ABC (DIFC Branch) in accordance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
• Oversee the development of Opex and Capex budgets and monitor financial performance
• Ensure compliance with DFSA's framework and applicable license category
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for the DIFC Branch in collaboration with leadership
• Manage and grow wholesale banking, including Islamic, treasury, and financial businesses
• Act as the principal point of contact with the local regulator, DFSA
• Responsible for the DIFC Branch P&L and credit worthiness of the portfolio
• Hire, retain, and manage productive coverage, product, and support teams

Requirements

• Experience in building a business or franchise in the GCC/Middle East
• BSc or MA/BA in Finance related subjects
• Demonstrable knowledge of wholesale banking, capital markets, financial markets, and treasury products
• Understanding of key DFSA rules and regulations pertaining to Category 4 branch
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple products and geographic groups
• Prior experience in managing a similar office set-up with P&L responsibility
