About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft and manage complex contracts to protect the business while enabling deals to close
- Own high-risk legal matters and provide guidance that enables business decisions
- Assess exposure, decide litigation strategy, and manage external counsel
- Create policies for contract governance and regulatory compliance
- Advise on cross-border legal matters including data privacy (GDPR) and licensing
- Partner with engineers to build AI tools for contract drafting and legal research
- Translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal teams
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business, compliance, risk, and product functions
Requirements
- Qualified legal professional with 6+ years of experience in corporate legal
- Practical understanding of fintech law and regulation
- Proficiency with AI and automation tools for legal processes
- Commercially pragmatic approach to risk assessment
- Strong English communication skills with ability to explain complexity in plain language
- Multi-jurisdictional experience advising global organizations
- Experience with data privacy frameworks like GDPR
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
