About the role
Responsibilities
- Own a core infrastructure product or subsystem end to end
- Define project goals and success metrics
- Create technical designs from PRDs and requirements
- Build secure, high-performing, and cost-efficient infrastructure
- Design and ship software and developer-facing tooling
- Manage infrastructure through code using Terraform
- Partner with product engineering teams to architect services for scale
- Participate in incident response and systematic debugging
- Tune and evolve monitoring systems
- Act as a technical leader and mentor engineers
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering
- Deep cloud infrastructure expertise (AWS preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent
- Depth in cloud infrastructure fundamentals: networking, load balancing, containerization (EKS/Kubernetes), and distributed systems
- Solid programming skills in Go, Python, or a comparable language
- Hands-on experience operating Redis/ElastiCache in production
- Comfort with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Fluency with software engineering best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
