About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Spring Boot microservices for bonus processing, game launch, and catalog management
- Implement promotional mechanics including bonus crediting, wagering logic, and settlement
- Integrate third-party game providers and wallet callbacks
- Build and evolve REST APIs with request signing and authentication
- Ensure correctness of real-money transactions using idempotency and retries
- Manage caching and session state with Redis
- Own observability using Micrometer, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests using JUnit 5 and Testcontainers
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x
- Experience building business-critical domain logic for payments or billing
- Solid experience integrating and designing REST APIs
- Understanding of distributed systems basics (consistency, timeouts, retries)
- Experience with SQL and at least one NoSQL store (Redis, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch)
- Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Scala, Play, or Akka
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
- Experience running services on Kubernetes and using GitLab CI
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana
- iGaming or betting domain experience
