Senior Legal Counsel (Courts)

Responsibilities

• Advise the Registrar regarding changes to ADGM's Founding Law, Courts' Regulations, Rules, and Practice Directions
• Draft and implement legislative and regulatory changes in accordance with policy and direction
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives for ADGM Courts and dispute resolution services, including arbitration and mediation
• Assist and represent the Registrar in matters before the ADGM Board of Directors
• Support the Chief Justice and judiciary in case management and liaison with law firms and litigants
• Represent ADGM Courts at high-level government and stakeholder meetings and international forums
• Manage the ADGM Courts team during temporary absences of the Registrar

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law
• 10-12+ years of experience in a law firm or similar environment
• Expertise in litigation and alternative dispute resolution within a common law jurisdiction
• Advanced research, analytical, and drafting skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience
• Advanced English speaking and written communication skills
• High level of confidentiality, judgment, and discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of working in the UAE or other GCC countries
