About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to the business aligned with strategic objectives
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documentation to maximize protections and minimize risks
- Structure and negotiate transaction documentation for bilateral and syndicated loans, including project, structured, leveraged, and asset finance
- Conduct legal and regulatory due diligence for new product launches
- Stay updated on new laws and regulations and advise senior business leaders on compliance
- Manage relationships with external authorities, courts, and law firms
- Define goals and KPIs for direct reports and provide coaching and talent development
- Prepare accurate MIS and reports according to Group standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law
- English law qualification
- Minimum of 8 years PQE with experience in a reputed bank or law firm
- At least 2 years in a similar role
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in law
- Experience in debt capital markets
- Experience in Islamic finance
