About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and audit complex financial models for international power, desalination, and renewable projects
- Perform due diligence, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies for debt, equity, and guarantees
- Manage internal approval processes involving credit, legal, and management teams
- Ensure appropriate legal documentation and timely financial close for all deals
- Support the structuring of Power Purchase Agreements and M&A transactions with third-party investors and lenders
- Collaborate with Development, EPC, and Interconnection teams
- Review project documents for commercial and contractual implications regarding financing structures
- Optimize project tax structures and implement accounting requirements in models
- Engage with banks to support financing relationships and negotiations
Requirements
- Graduate degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field
- 7+ years of experience in financial modeling and transactional roles within the energy, water, or renewable industry
- Previous experience with a leading IPP, utility, renewable developer, or investment bank
- Experience in the MENA region preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
