Senior Manager - Strategic Project Communications & Public Affairs

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic communications and external engagement agendas
• Translate complex conservation programmes and technical information into engaging communications
• Develop integrated communications campaigns to inspire behavioural change and public participation
• Partner with senior leadership to develop consistent messaging for executive communications and public affairs
• Build and maintain relationships with government entities, corporate partners, and international NGOs
• Manage communications budgets, resources, and external agencies
• Monitor reputation and implement crisis communication plans when required
• Oversee brand positioning and visual identity across all external channels

Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or PR
• Fluency in English and Arabic (essential for writing, editing, and translation)
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven experience delivering integrated communications strategies and stakeholder engagement
• Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and digital communications platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
• Experience working within an international NGO or the sustainability/environmental sector
• Experience supporting senior leadership through executive communications
• Familiarity with Generative AI and emerging digital technologies for content development
