About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux OS endpoints and cloud-native services in Microsoft Azure
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and code security via Azure DevOps
- Automate repeatable administration tasks
- Administer a fleet of remotely deployed Linux and Docker appliances using configuration management
- Maintain and improve system security posture and performance
- Support development team needs and troubleshoot application/service issues
- Assist with disaster recovery processes and proactive system checks
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in systems engineering or platform engineering
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration (Ubuntu preferred)
- Experience with Bash and Linux command-line
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for pipelines and repositories
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft products and Azure environments
- Experience developing Infrastructure-as-Code (PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible
- Strong networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewall ACLs)
- Experience configuring SSO using Entra ID
- Extensive troubleshooting experience with servers, networking, and SaaS platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with remote or edge Linux devices in bandwidth-constrained environments
- Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell
- Experience with Puppet, Docker, or Meraki networking
- Knowledge of observability and incident response
- Familiarity with zScaler and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
