Senior Product Designer, Connect

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of high-impact product experiences across web, iOS, and Android
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design stakeholders to shape requirements
• Design social features including Home, Profile, Friends, Messaging, and Notifications
• Identify opportunities to improve consistency and usability across the broader design system
• Build and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Cursor and Claude
• Maintain design ownership through implementation to ensure design-to-code alignment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer on consumer-facing products or games
• Portfolio demonstrating polished web and mobile UI design and strong product thinking
• Mastery of UI design fundamentals (typography, color, layout, hierarchy)
• Experience using agentic tools like Cursor and Claude for prototyping
• Strong design system fluency and ability to influence product decisions
• Familiarity with frontend development and design-to-code translation

Preferred Qualifications

• Love for chess and knowledge of the Chess.com product
• Experience designing social features for mobile games
• Motion design experience
• Design engineering or frontend development experience
