About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively solicit and manage large group and catering opportunities with significant revenue potential
- Identify, qualify, and solicit new group/catering business to achieve revenue goals
- Develop effective sales plans and design creative catered events
- Maximize revenue through upselling packages and food and beverage options
- Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers through sales calls, trade shows, and FAM trips
- Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated sales efforts
- Execute operational aspects of booked business including proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or front desk
- OR a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close business opportunities
- Strong understanding of market trends, competitor strengths, and economic factors
