Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy active fuzzing, black+white box testing, and penetration testing infrastructure
• Perform security audits of internal production systems and open source software
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teammates
• Create global security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Oversee security aspects of software release processes and infrastructure
• Develop and ensure responsiveness of security incident management processes
• Perform risk management assessments

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in systems security
• Extensive knowledge of operating system and computer architecture internals
• Strong understanding of cryptography, protocol design, and adversarial analysis
• Professional software development experience in Go, Rust, C/C++, or Java
• Experience with security incident response and vulnerability triaging
• Ability to work with high-impact, fast-moving startup teams
• Experience working with remote, distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in reverse engineering and exploiting cryptographic protocol systems
• Prior experience running an open source bug bounty program
• 2+ years of management experience or senior decision-making experience
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure
• Working knowledge of Bitcoin and Lightning design principles
