Senior Software Engineer

ApartmentIQ is a profitable, growth-stage company building industry-leading martech and data products for the PropTech space. We provide a powerful platform that centralizes critical property data, offering actionable insights and intuitive tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end including data models, Rails APIs, and front end interfaces
• Build product surfaces on top of LLMs and agents, including ingestion and structured data
• Design UIs for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output
• Partner with team leads and AI Engineers to transform ambiguous ideas into shipped features
• Engage with product leadership on prioritization and scoping

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
• Strong Ruby on Rails experience with API design and building
• Proficiency with JavaScript/ES6 and modern front-end frameworks like React
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL
• Experience building products utilizing agentic workflows, prompting, and human-in-the-loop review
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, and JSON
• Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into shippable chunks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data pipeline ingestion and processing
• Experience with agentic frameworks, RAG, or LLM tool-use
• Depth in the React ecosystem (Redux) and strong product/UX taste
• Experience collaborating with designers and AI engineers to build intuitive front-end experiences
