Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Money Movement)

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and evolve backend services and APIs connecting Phantom Cash to blockchains
• Balance reliability, quality, and speed in client-server architecture and blockchain protocols
• Communicate across pods and document rigorously to elevate engineering standards
• Mentor other engineers and ensure the system is ready to scale

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Proficiency in Node.js and NestJS at scale
• Experience with event-driven design, queues, retries, and idempotency
• Strong knowledge of REST API architecture, including versioning and authentication
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, concurrency, and data consistency
• Pragmatic engineering mindset focused on results and user impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, and observability
• Previous hands-on experience in crypto or fintech (exchanges, wallets, payment rails)
• Understanding of smart contracts and blockchain integration (Solana preferred, EVM acceptable)
• Deep interest in the crypto ecosystem and security norms
