About the role
Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into technical solutions with engineers and stakeholders
- Refactor and modernize on-prem systems into distributed, cloud-based services
- Contribute to authentication, identity management, and RBAC/ABAC design
- Drive best practices in microservice design, testing, observability, and CI/CD
- Own architecture decisions and provide technical mentorship
- Develop design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides
Requirements
- 7+ years software engineering experience (senior)
- Expert proficiency in a modern language such as Go, TypeScript, or Python
- Strong system design, API development, and relational database skills
- Experience with Kubernetes concepts and cloud platforms
- Modern RESTful API design experience
- Experience with authorization, data governance, and policy enforcement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Department of Defense acquisition or sustainment modernization
- Experience decomposing monolithic applications into services
- Argo Workflows experience
