About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead front end and full stack initiatives from ambiguous problem statements to shipped outcomes
- Partner with product and design to shape user experiences
- Own performance, stability, accessibility, and maintainability of code
- Integrate with third-party ecosystems including mobile apps and subscription services
- Scale and define design systems and UI component libraries
- Use AI tooling as a force multiplier for development
- Champion testing, documentation, and engineering best practices
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production web applications
- Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Proficiency in at least one modern component framework (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.)
- Ability to work across the stack including APIs, data models, and CI/CD
- Strong project leadership and ability to turn vague requirements into concrete plans
- High degree of ownership and technical honesty
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify (Liquid, Storefront/Cart APIs, Checkout Extensions)
- Experience in fast-growing e-commerce environments
- Proficiency with GraphQL
- Experience with testing tools like Vitest, Jest, Cypress, or Playwright
- Familiarity with Alpine.js
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms
