Senior Software Engineer Full-stack

About the Company

InsightRX is building the Astra AI platform, a system that combines a modern web application with conversational AI agents to support pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analysis and clinical trial data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the React/TypeScript client and NestJS/TypeScript backend
• Design and extend client-server architecture including state management, routing, and authentication
• Implement real-time updates via WebSockets and background job processing via AWS SQS
• Collaborate on the integration layer between the web app and LLM-based agents
• Contribute to database schema design, migrations, API documentation, and test coverage
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support

Requirements

• Professional experience building production-level full stack web applications
• Strong TypeScript skills in both React and Node.js/NestJS
• Experience designing REST APIs and relational data models (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with message-queue or event-driven architectures
• Ability to reason about systems integrating with LLMs and prompt-driven workflows
• Proficiency using AI coding tools like Claude Code or Codex
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM agent architecture
• Experience with SAML SSO or multi-tenant systems
• Experience in healthcare or life-sciences software
