Senior Software Engineer, Identification

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services
• Own SLIs and SLOs for Core API services to balance shipping velocity and stability
• Build observability including metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerts
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead blameless postmortems
• Reduce operational toil through automation
• Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and performance tuning
• Partner with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years in backend development with production operation experience
• Strong experience with Go, scalable APIs, and microservices
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Fluency with observability tooling such as Datadog
• Experience triaging live incidents and mitigating impact
• Strong SQL skills and experience with DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch
• Proficiency with Git, shell scripting, and CI/CD
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with analytical storage systems like ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery
• Experience with queueing and streaming systems like SQS or Kafka
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant) or ML-adjacent product engineering
• Strong grasp of internet security and privacy mechanisms
