About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend systems and services for external partner integrations
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Design, and Sales teams
- Design and maintain robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines
- Execute work as an individual contributor while building flexible product offerings
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering
- Minimum of 4 years experience with Java
- Proficiency in Java frameworks including Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit, and JVM tuning
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, and scalable architectures
- Experience with AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) and containerization tools
- Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with high ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions), git, and automation
- Experience with observability tools like DataDog
- Experience with big data platforms such as Snowflake
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform)
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and elevating team standards
