Senior Software Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for backend services and UI
• Own and drive test strategy across services and features to ensure thorough coverage
• Partner with engineering and product teams to advocate for testability and reliability
• Provide architectural input during design discussions to ensure quality is built-in
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Perform exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, and regressions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in QA or software testing
• 2+ years of experience at a senior or staff level
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or JavaScript
• Proficiency using AI tools for PR reviews, test plans, and automation
• Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and pipeline integration
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed systems
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for backend and infrastructure issues
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing in tenant cluster or Tenant Isolation environments
• Prior experience owning QA at a startup during rapid growth
