Senior Staff AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research and validate emerging technologies before proposing them to other teams
• Build hands-on prototypes and solutions in AI, LLMs, and autonomous agents
• Decide between traditional technologies, training LLMs, or using agents based on cost-benefit analysis
• Design scalable system architectures with rigor in testing and experimentation
• Deliver evolutionary solutions that demonstrate measurable value in weeks or months
• Influence technology adoption across teams without hierarchical authority
• Define replicable methods for testing and validation for complex use cases

Requirements

• Solid base in software engineering and scalable system design
• Experience with traditional machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and autonomous agent technologies
• Ability to transition between academic research and production implementation
• High autonomy to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty
• Hands-on approach with focus on delivering practical and functional solutions
• Scientific rigor in conducting experiments and analysis of results
• Ability to influence technically without relying on hierarchy

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in innovation units, labs, or R&D
• Publications or contributions to AI and ML technical communities
• Experience with iterative deliveries and rapid technical hypothesis validation
