Senior/Staff Platform Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build the core AI platform powering a copilot in an AI-native trading experience
• Develop a high-performance Rust backend supporting streaming, low-latency tool execution, caching and orchestration
• Design robust APIs and runtime components: auth, rate limits, auditing, tracing, retries and fallbacks
• Build safe trading action infrastructure: order previews, confirmation flows, idempotent tool calls and audit logs
• Partner with product and frontend on AI-native UX patterns such as streaming, citations and reversible actions
• Translate deep business domain knowledge into secure, resilient platform primitives

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience with a programming language
• Strong systems programming fundamentals: concurrency, networking, performance, reliability, distributed systems
• Experience designing and operating production APIs and services with observability and security
• Ability to define platform requirements, design architecture and deliver end-to-end with stakeholders
• Self-motivated and willing to work in unfamiliar areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Rust experience in production (Tokio, async, performance tuning)
• Experience building AI/ML inference, tool execution, streaming or retrieval systems
• Experience with trading systems, order lifecycle, risk checks or mission-critical financial infrastructure
• Experience with Postgres performance and data modeling in high-throughput systems

• Base salary range $200,000 - $350,000, plus equity and bonus eligibility
