Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack Software Products

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain internal and external software products across the frontend, backend, data, and AI layers
• Build systems that allow domain experts to adapt their own tools without engineering support
• Design the data foundation connecting business systems, operational data, and plant telemetry
• Build and enforce strong access controls for sensitive and proprietary data
• Create proactive AI guardrails to identify task failures and security issues
• Define architectural patterns and technical guardrails across the software ecosystem

Requirements

• Strong product judgment and ability to turn vague requests into clear direction
• Production software engineering experience with Python and TypeScript
• Experience shipping AI-powered products using LLMs
• Strong data fundamentals including SQL, warehouse modeling, and dbt
• Collaborative approach to building with non-engineers
• Clear cross-functional communication skills
• Practical risk judgment regarding technical controls and governance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building semantic layers using dbt or Cube
• Familiarity with ClickHouse, time-series data, or IoT systems
• Experience with agent protocols such as MCP or plugin/tool APIs
• Background in energy, industrial technology, or manufacturing
• Experience managing AI model usage, performance, and cost governance
