SME IT Governance Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop project work plans, manage technical resources, and direct execution to deliver on scope, quality, and performance standards
• Direct all aspects of IT governance, including board charter development, strategic roadmap management, and oversight of compliance and risk mitigation initiatives
• Guide enterprise governance strategy and lead teams in process redesign and performance optimization
• Serve as the principal liaison with executive-level stakeholders
• Refine and enhance IT Governance Board (ITGB) strategy, processes, and activities
• Redesign the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and implement automation
• Assist the agency in identifying AI use cases and overseeing the development of AI packages
• Track, review, and interpret various laws, regulations, and policies impacting the agency
• Identify requirements and revise MOUs as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field
• 15+ years of professional IT experience
• 15+ years of experience in data governance, data analysis, or data management in a large enterprise environment
• Experience in data stewardship, data cataloging, business glossary development, and metadata enrichment
• High proficiency in industry standard data governance and management methodologies
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain a public trust investigation
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
