Social Media Intern

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and finding UGC (User-Generated Content) and obtaining usage permission
• Pitching daily weather-related content ideas
• Coordinating multiple sources, feeds, and personnel for social channels
• Monitoring social networks for testimonials, questions, and comments
• Engaging with users and interacting with internal departments for resolution
• Analyzing data using social media analytics tools
• Researching social network changes via industry blogs and news
• Creating trend reports for weather-related topics

Requirements

• Pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms
• Basic image editing knowledge
• Ability to understand and explain basic scientific and meteorological concepts
• Self-motivated and team-oriented with ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
