Software Design Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Build lightweight GitHub Actions/PR checks to streamline doc reviews and run automated linters
• Create automated tests that run documentation code examples and notebooks in CI
• Build tools and scripts for Markdown/MDX pipelines, changelogs, and release summaries
• Explore LLMs and agentic scripts for site health tasks and doc indexing
• Present accomplishments at the end-of-internship Showcase

Requirements

• Recent graduate or completed Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Solid foundational Python programming and scripting skills
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows
• Basic exposure to CI/CD concepts and web/documentation formats
• Curiosity about experimenting with LLM APIs
• Strong written communication and problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing GitHub Actions or automating developer workflows
• Prior experience with static site generators or MDX
• Familiarity with automated tests or linting tools in CI pipelines
• Personal or academic projects integrating LLM APIs
