About the role
Responsibilities
- Scope trading venue specifications and estimate setup effort
- Design connectivity with infrastructure: colocation, lines, multicast, firewalls, failover
- Adapt market data and order entry connectors to venue binary protocols
- Deliver raw product and risk parameters to the normalization team
- Convert venue archives and captured feeds into internal format
- Tune latency with hardware timestamps, NIC and kernel bypass settings
- Pass venue conformance tests, replay, soak and failover tests
- Write operating instructions and walk the desk through go-live
Requirements
- Solid data structures, algorithms and object-oriented C++
- Understanding of Linux system internals
- Decent written and spoken English
- Performs well in remote or hybrid project-based teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Low latency or real-time development at sub-microsecond latency
- Lock-free containers and design patterns
- C programming, including Linux drivers
