About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Bubble infrastructure that scales to infinitely many apps of any size and complexity
- Improve performance and reliability across backend services, supporting efficiency, capacity management, and data tier
- Support observability efforts and implement SLOs to surface performance characteristics to end users
- Build and iterate on core backbone services supporting billions of requests
- Contribute to the workflow engine and data tier for high-volume ingest and export
- Build foundational services and tools for next-generation cloud infrastructure
- Participate in triage and on-call processes to diagnose and resolve issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, preferably in high-growth startups
- Strong coding skills and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of scalable distributed systems
- Ability to partner effectively with teammates and managers
- Ownership mindset and initiative to build and fix
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Node.js, Rust, PostgreSQL, and Terraform
- Experience with AWS
