Software Engineer - Turso

Responsibilities

• Drive progress of the Turso open source database, especially the Postgres compatibility layer
• Ensure code works and never breaks, putting systems and guarantees in place
• Maintain Turso Cloud operations, including the Cloud API and data plane
• Improve scalability to support 100x more databases

Requirements

• Experience writing databases or high-stakes low-level systems
• Experience with remote teams and open source communities
• Experience with deterministic simulation testing, formal verification, fuzz or differential testing
• Experience operating large scale cloud systems on AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience improving observability, reliability and performance of cloud systems
• Comfortable working in Rust
• Comfortable with LLM-assisted development and evals
• Comfortable working with embedded databases
• Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
