About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage release notes and technical documentation for external software releases
- Coordinate pre-Patch Tuesday activities, including release preparation and readiness checks
- Support desktop and mobile application release processes, including Mac and iOS
- Review release requirements and technical specifications for complete, accurate documentation
- Coordinate with engineering and testing teams to track deliverables, dependencies, and timelines
- Support release validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Maintain release plans, implementation documentation, and test plans
- Identify opportunities to improve release processes and documentation quality
- Communicate release status, risks, and outstanding tasks to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field
- 5+ years in software release management or technical operations
- 5+ years in cross-functional coordination and technical writing
- Experience managing release schedules, documentation, and deployment readiness
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience troubleshooting software issues and supporting testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently remotely across time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise productivity or office application releases
- Experience with Mac and iOS release processes
- Familiarity with monthly update cycles and Patch Tuesday preparation
- Experience creating release notes and implementation documentation
- Knowledge of SDLC, QA, testing, and deployment processes
