Sommelier

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised wine recommendations based on guest preferences and dining occasions
• Guide guests through wine selections with professionalism and storytelling
• Present, open, and serve wines according to luxury hospitality standards
• Ensure proper wine service techniques including temperature control and decanting
• Collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams to develop wine pairings
• Manage wine inventory, cellar organisation, and stock rotation
• Promote premium beverage offerings to enhance revenue
• Provide ongoing wine education and guidance to Food & Beverage colleagues
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of wine service areas and storage

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of international wines, grape varieties, and regions
• Experience delivering wine service in high-end dining
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
• Passion for wine and gastronomy

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognised wine qualification such as WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers
