Soninke Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices

Requirements

• Full fluency in English and Soninke, plus either French or Arabic
• Technology proficiency with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
• Access to a quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noise

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Industry-specific certifications or training (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
