About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
- Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
- Provide superior customer service
- Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices
Requirements
- Full fluency in English and Soninke, plus either French or Arabic
- Technology proficiency with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
- Access to a quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noise
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional interpreting experience
- Industry-specific certifications or training (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
