Sous Chef - Chinese Cuisine

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Chinese kitchen to ensure efficiency and consistency
• Monitor resource consumption and optimize use of equipment and ingredients
• Develop weekly set menus, monthly promotions, and seasonal offerings
• Lead, coach, and support the kitchen team to maintain high performance
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with HACCP and health regulations

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent; culinary qualification preferred
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in a 5-star kitchen environment
• Substantial experience in Chinese cuisine and kitchen leadership
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cost control
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High attention to detail regarding food quality and presentation
• Basic computer literacy
• Must be at least 18 years of age
