About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Capital Markets transactions are matched, validated, confirmed, and settled within agreed timeframes
- Monitor and resolve breaks derived from reconciliation reports and escalate issues when necessary
- Validate security transactions within Murex and send trade confirmations to counterparties
- Manage trade allocations through Omgeo and upload securities trades to Euroclear, Clearstream, JP Morgan, and Stanbic
- Handle settlement of coupons, corporate actions, and net settlement amounts to custodian accounts
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training for junior colleagues
- Prepare accurate sectional statements and reports to meet department requirements
- Support operational requirements for international FAB offices including London, Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, and Cayman Islands
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector
- At least 2 years in a similar position with increasing responsibilities in an Operations function
- Proficiency with Murex, Omgeo, Euroclear, and Clearstream systems
- Expertise in Capital Markets operations including Bonds, Equity, Repo, and Corporate Actions
