About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive business-getting for auctions in Dubai and the wider region
- Drive private sale activity, including private sale exhibitions in the Middle East
- Inspect and authenticate properties in the Middle East
- Outreach to auction bidders, buyers and Sotheby's Relationship Managers
- Provide regular auction data analysis to the Head of Department
- Advise on handbag and accessory product mix for Middle East clientele
- Provide pricing and consignment terms to consignors
- Participate in pipeline meetings with the Head of Department
Requirements
- Five or more years of professional experience within the GCC region
- Proven experience managing client portfolios and driving sales
- Experience as a handbag authenticator or valuer
- Experience in auction house, ecommerce or second-hand luxury
- Knowledge of luxury handbag retail and resale markets
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Arabic language skills highly valued
- French and other European language skills highly advantageous
