About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into incidents of actual and suspected fraud, bribery, corruption, data breaches, and misconduct
- Gather evidence, interview suspects and witnesses, and evaluate findings
- Perform root cause analysis and quantify financial exposure
- File regulatory incident reports (CBUAE STR or SAR) and write detailed investigation reports
- Provide guidance and training for junior colleagues
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance functions
- Monitor financial performance of assigned activities against budgets
- Proactively identify systemic risks and evolving fraud trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in fraud investigations, preferably in the banking sector
- Basic understanding of banking operations
- Working knowledge of law and criminal justice procedures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
