Specialist, Settlement Services (Emiratised Role)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process settlement processes for domestic, regional, and international markets covering equities, mutual funds, fixed income, and ETFs
• Handle complex settlement transactions and validate instructions from clients, markets, and sub-custodians
• Communicate with stakeholders including clients, counterparties, markets, regulators, and brokers
• Manage cash and FX settlements, ensuring accurate accounting entries and escalating mismatches to VP
• Perform position and cash management by reconciling holdings with sub-custodians and markets
• Execute and validate SWIFT instructions and second-level reconciliations
• Participate in section-related projects, system upgrades, and process enhancements
• Adhere to departmental policies, quality control measures, and regulatory compliance standards

Requirements

• University Graduate or bachelor's degree (or 5 years related work experience)
• 5+ years of related experience in security services or back-office operations (e.g., managing securities settlements or corporate actions)
• Solid understanding of security services, operations, and accounting activity related to security services

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific experience in Securities related functions such as Settlement, Client Services, Corporate Actions, Data Maintenance & Billing, or Custody Account Opening
