Specialist, Settlement Services

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process settlement processes for domestic, regional, and international markets covering equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, and ETFs
• Handle complex settlement transactions, including receipt and validation of client and sub-custodian instructions
• Communicate with clients, counterparties, regulators, brokers, and paying agents to ensure timely settlement
• Manage cash and FX settlements, reviewing transactions and escalating mismatches
• Reconcile client positions and holdings daily with sub-custodians and markets
• Validate SWIFT instructions and perform second-level reconciliation
• Participate in system upgrades, processing enhancements, and new client SLA implementations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk controls

Requirements

• University graduate with a bachelor's degree or 5 years of related work experience
• 5+ years of related experience in security services and/or back-office operations
• Solid understanding of security services operations and related accounting activity
• Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously under pressure
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific experience in Settlement, Client Services, Corporate Actions, Data Maintenance, Billing, or Custody Account Opening
