About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated off-site support to patients, pharmacists, and providers
- Deliver medication management services including prior authorization and financial assistance
- Educate patients on hospital pharmacy services and medication adherence
- Resolve insurance issues and complete benefit investigations
- Document patient information within EMR, Therigy, and proprietary tools
- Manage medication refills, renewals, and specialized storage requirements
- Triage inbound inquiries and participate in process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- State registered pharmacy technician licensure
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong interpersonal and telephonic communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and private data with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- National CPhT certification or equivalent
- 3-5 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Experience with disease states such as transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease, diabetes, MS, or oncology
