Specialty Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated off-site support to patients, pharmacists, and providers
• Deliver medication management services including prior authorization and financial assistance
• Educate patients on hospital pharmacy services and medication adherence
• Resolve insurance issues and complete benefit investigations
• Document patient information within EMR, Therigy, and proprietary tools
• Manage medication refills, renewals, and specialized storage requirements
• Triage inbound inquiries and participate in process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• State registered pharmacy technician licensure
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong interpersonal and telephonic communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and private data with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• National CPhT certification or equivalent
• 3-5 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Experience with disease states such as transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease, diabetes, MS, or oncology
