About the role
Responsibilities
- Write complex, efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
- Analyze execution plans and fix performance bottlenecks
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines into the warehouse
- Build data quality checks, validation, and error handling
- Troubleshoot ETL job failures and data discrepancies
- Document data flows, mappings, and technical designs
- Work with analysts and business users; take part in code reviews
Requirements
- 3+ years complex SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions)
- 3+ years developing ETL processes for a data warehouse
- Cloud data warehouse experience, preferably Snowflake or Databricks
- ETL tool experience such as Databricks, Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Power BI or Tableau experience
- Python and Spark/PySpark
- Dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Git, CI/CD, and job orchestration
