About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and improve APIs and services
- Reason through production issues across the system
- Lead technical design in ambiguous areas
- Mentor engineers and raise the quality bar across the team
- Shape the technical foundation of backend systems, APIs, services, data performance, reliability, and observability
- Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and data teams
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a Backend Engineer
- Proficiency in building scalable systems using service-oriented and event-driven architecture
- Ability to work with a stack including Node, TypeScript, Elixir, Ruby/Rails, and SQL
