Responsibilities

• Design and implement foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for reproducible and scalable environment setups
• Design and implement infrastructure for applications hosted on AWS, including Kubernetes and serverless functions
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and ArgoCD
• Automate the lifecycle management of code from development through production
• Instrument observability through CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor application performance
• Scale infrastructure to meet increasing demand while managing cost effectively
• Define and measure standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience in a platform engineering team within a product-centric company
• Deep practical knowledge of cloud platforms and advanced software design patterns
• Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
• Experience with observability tools like CloudWatch or DataDog

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with an RPC architecture
• Experience in a technology startup environment
• Experience navigating multiple distributed architecture patterns
• Passion for developing talent through mentorship
