About the role
Responsibilities
- Build platform runtime with container orchestration and tenant isolation
- Design versioned infrastructure as code templates at fleet scale
- Own one-command environment lifecycle via pull requests
- Implement federated, credential-free identity and network design
- Ship telemetry, SLOs, and per-engagement cost attribution
- Build shared delivery pipelines and block-on-fail gate framework
- Implement security and compliance as code with SBOM and attestation
- Enforce sandbox boundaries for AI coding agents
- Make architecture decisions through spikes and proofs of concept
- Drive adoption of platform standards across product teams
Requirements
- 10+ years in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering
- Terraform or OpenTofu with Terragrunt at fleet scale
- Multi-tenant Kubernetes in production with GitOps and admission policy
- CI/CD as a shared platform with reusable workflow contracts
- Cloud identity and network security on Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Security and compliance as code: Snyk, Checkov, Trivy, OPA, Kyverno
- Production observability with OpenTelemetry, SLOs, and incident management
- Production software experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Agile and cross-functional product team experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Platforms for consulting or professional services with client isolation
- vcluster, Crossplane, Backstage, or Port experience
- Operating platforms for AI coding assistants
- Cloud, Kubernetes, or security certifications
- FinOps experience
- Developer education and internal tooling enthusiasm
